NSXPO 2003 - Day 0
Country drive through southern Sonoma county and Coastal Marin
county.
On Wednesday morning, I drove to the Embassy Suites in San
Rafael to meet up with those who arrived early for NSXPO. Harry Sommerfield led
us on beautiful drive through back-roads of Marin and Sonoma counties. Since I
live and work nearby, I've been on these roads many times before, but the
weather and camaraderie were second to none! Everyone who didn't have their car
with them managed to find a ride. I had the pleasure of giving Gene Krause a
ride. We made stops on Highway 1, alongside Tomales Bay, on the drive up Mt.
Tamalpais, and at the Marin Headlands over-looking San Francisco--one of the
most beautiful views any of us had seen. I don't think the weather could have
been any nicer.
When we returned to the hotel we saw that many more NSXs had
arrived and the parking lot was beginning to fill up.
